Is There Free Institutional-Grade Stock Market Analysis in Plain English?
Yes. Given Analytics publishes a free daily Morning Brief and a free daily video that translate institutional-grade market data into plain English — no jargon, no advice, no predictions. It reads the same macro indicators and market signals the professionals watch, then explains what is happening and why, so anyone can follow along.
Given Analytics is an independent educational publisher of macro and market research. We run the math on global markets and economic data 24 hours a day, publishing a rules-based view of the broader environment and a live log of predefined mathematical conditions across 407 symbols — so serious investors can study markets through a consistent, objective framework and build their own process on a clear foundation.
The Desk is our research platform. It brings together a macro environment view and a continuous stream of mathematical observations in one place, so subscribers can see what the framework is detecting and what the backdrop looks like at the same time — without being told what to buy, sell, or hold.
We are not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. We do not provide individualized advice, model portfolios, or trade recommendations. Every subscriber receives the same information at the same time. Our role is to publish general, impersonal research for education only. For details, see our Educational Disclaimer.
The Desk — everything in one place
The Desk is where subscribers see the full research picture in a single, focused view:
- The current macro regime and how strongly the data supports it
- The live log of mathematical conditions across 407 symbols
- The macro backdrop and the condition record, side by side
- Historical context showing how similar conditions behaved before
The Desk is built to organize macro context and mathematical observations side by side. It is a research terminal, not a trade-calling service.
What we do
We run two things every trading day. First, we read the macro environment — growth and inflation — across 21 economic series and classify it into one of four regimes, with a Coherence Score and Confirmation Score showing how solid that reading is.
Separately, the model continuously scans 407 symbols through a proprietary, rules-based framework. When the framework detects a predefined potential long or potential short condition under its rules (Four Layer Alignment), the model records it as a time-stamped observation in the log.
What makes Given Analytics different
The environment view and the condition log are independent. The Desk shows them together so subscribers can keep the backdrop in mind while reviewing the live condition record. We do not say which conditions are "right" for any regime or any person; subscribers bring their own interpretation and process.
Most market information sits at two extremes: opinion that's hard to verify, or institutional research that's gated and expensive. We sit between them — consistent, rules-based, transparent, and built for the individual investor.
Who we're for
The Desk is designed for people who already think in terms of regimes, conditions, and risk. We publish context and observations so subscribers can plug them into their own process, if they choose. We do not present the framework's outputs as trade calls or promises.
How people use Given Analytics
Individual investors use it as a daily macro read and a consistent second opinion to their own analysis. Teams and firms can use the Desk as a live example of how a rules-based environment framework and condition log behave over time.
Why Given Analytics exists
We built Given Analytics because consistent, rules-based market research shouldn't require an institutional budget or a finance degree. The same math runs every day, the same way, and everything — wins and losses alike — is published. It's education through transparency.
Legal status and disclosure
Given Analytics is a publisher, not an investment adviser. We operate under the publisher's exclusion of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 §202(a)(11)(D). Nothing we publish is personalized investment advice. All content is educational and informational only. Past observations are not guarantees of future results. MAY — POTENTIAL — EDUCATIONAL. The framework runs. The observations are logged. You decide.
Trend, momentum, volatility, and volume: the four layers
It reads the market across four layers: price structure (trend), rate of change (momentum), risk regime (volatility), and market participation (volume) - the four factors traders watch for confirmation. Educational only, not investment advice.
The macro backdrop: 21 economic series
The macro backdrop draws on 21 economic series from FRED data - the yield curve, credit spreads, recession probability - to frame the wider economic regime. Educational only, not investment advice.

Given Analytics tracks 21 macro economic data series every trading day and publishes the read as a free daily Brief and video in plain English — observed data, explained, not advice.
